Overview
OWI is a small tool that allows visitors of your site to check if a domain name is still availeble. If so, you can immediatly redirect your visitor to a pre-defined page where the domain name can be reserved.
Configuration is simple but powerfull.
This software requires OPL, Oveas Perl Library, v1.4 or better. OPL is available from http://freeware.oveas.com/opl
The program is, and will remain, freeware!.
Language support
The file owi_def.msg contains all displayed texts. You can create your own message files in your own language. The file owp_def.msg contains instructions how to do this. These instructions can also be found in the documentation that comes with OWI.

Download OWI
Two distribution sets are availble:- owi-v0-1.zip (42 kB)
- owi.v0.1.tar.gz (42 kB)
Installation
Installation is currently a manual job; OWI comes without an installation tool.
First of all, copy the file 'owi.cgi' to a location on the server where it can be executed, e.g., to your cgi-bin directory:
cd my-document-root/cgi-bin
mv original-location/owi.cgi .
Make sure OWI is executable:
chmod +x owi.cgi
That's it!

OWI can be freely used and distributed, as long as all files included with this distribution are distributed together. It is not allowed to make changes to OWI.
